Frequently Asked Questions
1. What type of wax do you use?
We use a premium hypoallergenic hard wax with a low melting point. It's gentle on the skin, making it ideal for even the most sensitive areas, while still being highly effective at removing hair from the root with minimal discomfort.
2. How long does my hair need to be to get waxed?
For the best results, your hair should be about 1/4 inch long — about the size of a grain of rice. This is usually 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving.
3. Does waxing hurt?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most clients describe it as a quick sting that gets easier over time. I do everything I can to make the experience as comfortable as possible!
4. How should I prepare for my appointment?
Gently exfoliate the day before (not the day of).
Avoid caffeine and alcohol before your wax (they can make you more sensitive).
Wear loose, comfy clothing to your appointment.
Please don’t shave or trim before coming — I need enough growth to get a clean wax!
5. Can I get waxed while on my period?
Yes! Just wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. Keep in mind you might feel a bit more sensitive during this time of the month.
6. How often should I wax?
Most clients come every 4–6 weeks for the best results. Regular waxing helps reduce hair growth over time.
7. What’s the aftercare like?
Avoid hot showers, sweating, and tight clothes for 24 hours.
Skip exfoliating for 2–3 days, then gently exfoliate 2–3 times a week to prevent ingrowns.
Moisturize daily with a non-comedogenic lotion or oil.
8. What if I’m nervous or it’s my first time?
You’re in great hands! I specialize in making first-timers feel safe and comfortable. I’ll walk you through everything and make sure you feel at ease the whole time.
9. Do you wax all body types and genders?
Absolutely. My space is inclusive and welcoming to all. If you have any specific concerns, feel free to reach out before booking.
10. What if I get an erection during my waxing service?
Waxing can sometimes cause involuntary bodily responses due to sensitivity, nerves, or the body’s natural reaction — this includes erections. I understand this can happen and I handle these situations professionally, as long as the client maintains respectful behavior throughout the service.
If at any point I feel uncomfortable or boundaries are crossed, I reserve the right to end the session immediately. My space is one of professionalism, trust, and safety for everyone.
11. How should I prepare for a brow lamination?
To get the best results, please:
Leave your brows untouched and untrimmed for at least 3 weeks before your appointment.
Stop using active skincare products (like AHAs, BHAs, Retinols, and exfoliants) around the brow area for at least 7–10 days before and after your service.
Come with clean, makeup-free skin and brows.
